HADA is one of the oldest organizations of its kind in the nation. It was founded in 1964 by three local antiques dealers. Our mission is to encourage and promote the highest standards among antiques dealers, to support local charities, and to foster the appreciation of antiques. For the past 28 years we have sponsored a lecture on antiques and collecting at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The lecture is given during our spring show and is free to the public. I hope that you have had the opportunity of attending one of these lectures that have featured speakers from such diverse places as the Victoria & Albert Museum in London to the Antiques Road Show’s Keno brothers.
We are committed to continuing our philanthropic work throughout Houston and thank you for your supporting these efforts by buying a ticket to the show. A portion f the proceeds from your purchase price is directed to some of Houston’s most worthy causes. Over the past 46 years we have supported the Houston Junior Forum, the Brookwood Community, the Child Development Center, the Bering Community Services Foundation, the Houston Symphony Society, the Cancer Assistance League, Houston Special Olympics, the Houston School for the Deaf and the Heritage Society.
